How would you describe your comedy style?

Urban musical improv

Who are some of your influences?

Eddie Murphy, Richard Pryor, Michael Jackson, Joan Rivers, Madonna

Who was your favourite comedian growing up?

Russell Peters

Who is your favourite comedian now?

Gabriel Iglesias

What is your pre-show ritual?

Watch something serious and something silly at the same time on Youtube at 1.5 speed to help me focus.

What is your favourite place you have performed? Why?

The Up Theatre in Chicago. Because it was the first time that I got to go to the States as a comedian and not a musician.

What is your favourite bit you have written and why were you proud of it?

A song called ‘Dutty Microwave Oven’ – because it’s a rap from the point of view of a dirty microwave oven and I produced the music to it also.

What is your favourite medium for listening or finding new comics/comedians?

Youtube – I like sampling jokes before I commit to watching a whole set

Tell us a joke about your city.

When I lived in LA I convinced everybody that they’d need a winter jacket to visit Toronto in the summer because our igloos hadn’t melted yet. And, Google was fully a thing!

Do you have anything to promote right now?

Yeah – I’m back on the Main Stage at Second City baby!

Where can we follow you?

Instagram & Twitter

PAY IT FORWARD: Who is another local comic/comedian we should know about?

I’ve got two: Coko Galore and Ajahnis Charley
