Lovers Touch is a Toronto based band that puts emphasis on high-energy grooves reminiscent of decades past. Originally from Salt Spring Island BC. Shane Hooper (vocals, rhythm guitar) Dexter Nash (lead guitar) and Noah O’Neil (bass) formed the trio in high school. Growing up on a small island, the band was uniquely influenced by the vinyl collection of their parents, and Shane’s musical parents (Tom Hooper from The Grapes of Wrath and Suzanne Little from the 90’s band Lava Hay). The family home included a music studio and jam space where the trio logged 1000s of hours jamming and creating.
Their unique, original music, an updated take on “dad-rock” for the post millennial generation of their peers proved to be a winning formula and they quickly generated a west coast following, tours and three EP’s.
Upon relocating to Toronto in 2016 the group’s high-energy live shows have built them an avid audience via their performances in Ontario and Quebec. Coming off a year that saw the release of 4 singles and an 18 city cross country tour from Montreal to Victoria, Lovers Touch is now gearing up to unleash their EP “How Does it Make You Feel?” in March of 2019. The collection will give you glitter, glam, and falsetto; a powerful triad missing from today’s indie pop sounds.
