Meet Chloe – Born: July 2011
Chloe the cat was rescued from a hard knock life on the streets of Toronto in the Bathurst & Parklawn area. When she arrived at the shelter he was very scared of people. Shortly after arriving, she gave birth to 4 kittens. She was placed into foster care and while there accepted and mothered a tiny orphaned kitten from another mother along with her own four. Chloe is an absolute wonderful mother and nurturer. She cared for and successfully raised all 5 of kittens who were also put up for adoption. She has done very well in foster care – learning to accept and trust people, but regressed when returned to the shelter. Thanks to the care and unconditional love of the NTCR volunteers, Chloe has learned to trust people. She is a beautiful short haired tuxedo (black and white) with stunning amber eyes and a gentle sweet natured soul. Chloe has a lot of love to give once you get passed her initial shyness and insecurities. She is also good with her roommates. Her best fit would be with a mature family home that is willing to show her patience, tenderness and kindness as she grows her confidence. Our current features come from North Toronto Cat Rescue which is a no kill, no cage shelter in Markham, Ontario, Canada. They have saved over 2000 cats over the years from both the harsh environments of life on the streets and from kill shelters in Ontario and Québec. They care for both kittens and adult cats. I always like to promote getting an adult cat as it is a lot easier to pick the cat with the right temperament for you.
The NTCR shelter is run by volunteers with no government assistance. They currently have around 200 plus awesome cats that would love a good home. Go and visit them soon!

Fundraiser
On another Note, NTCR is in trouble as they are losing their home in 2016 for development of the area. If you can offer any help in finding a new home for the almost 200 cats at the shelter, that would be amazing.
