Is almost always late to the party and has the same lame excuse every time. “Sorry, it’s just my hair was actually making a scene. Ugh, this whole month has been a mood”. The long-haired (and well-groomed) cats roll their eyes as she sits down to talk about the latest hot-button issue from the Twittersphere. “Guys, prepare to be outraged!”
Checkers prefers staying in rather than going out. She’s the type to tell her friends she’s reading Infinite Jest, but is actually just watching the latest Fyre Festival doc while devouring a jumbo mix of turkey & gravy temptations treats. Her favourite things are brushes and things attached to strings. She likes having a small group of super judgemental and woke friends, rather than being the most popular person on Instagram. She totally could though. If she wanted to.
This is a shy girl. Super shy. She needs time to get to know you, know your politics, your opinions, and most importantly, whether you come with treats and a brush. You come bearing those things, you’re probably alright in her books.
When Checkers DOES warm up after a little bit of time, she becomes such a sweetheart. Really. Before one of her volunteers gets to her room, she is already purring. Once they enter her pad, she’ll then saunter over for the back pets and tummy rubs. She ADORES the attention once she has learned to trust.
Checkers is looking for a home where she will be given plenty of time and space to settle in. She’d LOVE to have her very own special room where she can hang out as she adjusts to her new humans. She hasn’t spent much time with dogs, but isn’t crazy about what she’s heard. If there are cats, well, she will need to have a special meet and greet first. A more calm, mature home would be best for this little gal!
