Jennifer Torosian is a Toronto based fashion designer. She is known for classic silhouettes that are articulated with a modern sensibility, elegance and utility. With focus on technical fabrics and textiles, she travels to Paris twice per year to source for her collections. Her favourite city happens to be Paris, so she enjoys her time there each season. It is a busy few days of sourcing but the collection is usually built from some of the first fabrics she is drawn to. We have had our brand for five years and in that time have been featured in many publications including Globe and Mail, Fashion Canada and Elle Canada. We have showcased our collections at many fashion weeks in Toronto and other events around the city.
Our newest collaboration is with Lexus Canada in the creation of a unique capsule collection for their brand representatives and product specialists for the 2018 Canadian International Auto Show. I think Jennifer showcases her modern sensibilities in this collaboration. She was informed by Lexus Canada’s point of view and vision of movement and technology. Combing these ideals with our aesthetic, we designed pieces that are contemporary and sleek. She loves travel, art and design. We live in Toronto with our son, Jamal.

What ‘hood are you in?
I currently live close to Trinity Bellwoods Park on Queen West. We love it here as we are close to our studio, the park and lots of great restaurants and coffee shops.
What do you do?
I am a fashion designer of my brand Jennifer Torosian and work with my husband, Raed Ali. Our brand is known for its contemporary wardrobe essentials, refined and refreshed.
What are you currently working on?
We designed an exclusive capsule collection for Lexus Canada for the Canadian Auto Show. They wanted looks that reflect their brand so we created pieces that are sophisticated and contemporary. The inspiration for this collaboration was drawn from the Lexus LS+ concept that has its North American reveal this week. The sleek lines and cool grey colour palette of this new vehicle can be found in our designs as well, with emphasis on both luxury and utility.
Where can we find your work?
You can see our work at jennifertorosian.com, find us at retailers across Canada including Maison Simons. And see our Lexus Canada capsule collection at the 2018 Canadian International Auto Show.
