For my latest collection of vintage pics, I thought I would find some old hockey photographs from the Toronto area and share some of them with our readers.
Many of the shinny parks we know today like Withrow, Riverdale and Christie Pitts have been long time winter gathering spots for our unofficial national sport. There are also spots on the Toronto Islands that have been used for a pick-up game or two.
I have also included several photographs from Maple Leaf Gardens, the Toronto Maple Leafs and of Team Canada during the Summit Series in 1972.
Check out the photos and let us know on social media what you find.
