Meet Roxy! – DOB: June 2015
Roxy and her believed to be sibling (Ollie) were rescued from a hard life on the streets, in the Dufferin & Langstaff area. When she first arrived she was extremely scared, would not look at you when you came near her, tense up completely as she did not trust people at all. She has made very good progress in learning to trust people as she now happily accepts and enjoys being petted with a slow approach. Roxy is an adorable calico with an innocent face and a gentle, sweet nature. Excellent with other cats and can often be found snuggled up to one of her roommates, Roxy would need a patient understanding owner who will allow her to blossom at her own pace and understand her need to feel secure in order to trust. Roxy is also has special needs and takes medication for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus.

Our current features come from North Toronto Cat Rescue which is a no kill, no cage shelter in Markham, Ontario, Canada. They have saved over 2000 cats over the years from both the harsh environments of life on the streets and from kill shelters in Ontario and Québec. They care for both kittens and adult cats. I always like to promote getting an adult cat as it is a lot easier to pick the cat with the right temperament for you.
The NTCR shelter is run by volunteers with no government assistance. They currently have around 200 plus awesome cats that would love a good home. Go and visit them soon!

Fundraiser
On another Note, NTCR is in trouble as they are losing their home in 2016 for development of the area. If you can offer any help in finding a new home for the almost 200 cats at the shelter, that would be amazing.
