A Day in the Life with Local Toronto Artist Harley Valentine

Harley Valentine was born 1983 in Hamilton, Ontario and currently lives and works in Toronto. His large scale sculptures and immersive installations have captured an international audience having works permanently installed in cities across North America and Europe. Self trained and self styled, Valentine bold work symbolizes a new ambition of Canadian Art.

What ‘hood are you in? 

Technically my studio is located on Queens Quay Est which isn’t a dignified neighbourhood yet, I occupy a former office building tucked under the Gardiner Express way and steps away from Lake Ontario. Throughout the past 10 years I have had studios in Parkdale, Little Italy, Annex and King West.
