Southern Blues Kickin’ Original BBQ Chicken Pizza
This recipe comes from Alexisonfire member Jordan Hastings who co-owns Dine Alone Foods with Joel Carriere in Toronto. The uniquely crafted line of all-natural sauces are made-in-Canada and feature three flavours, including a classic Southern Blues BBQ sauce, a sweet smoky Northern Soul chipotle BBQ sauce and a spicy Rock N’ Roll hot sauce which packs a flavourful punch.

INGREDIENTS
-2 frozen pizza crusts
-10 oz. skinless chicken breasts, cut into 3/4″ cubes
-2 tbsp Dine Alone Foods Southern Blues Kickin’ Original BBQ, to be mixed with chicken
-1/2 cup Dine Alone Foods Southern Blues Kickin’ Original BBQ
-2 tbsp smoked Gouda cheese, grated
-1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
-1 tbsp olive oil
-1/4 small red onion, chopped
-2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
-2 tbsp fresh cilantro, finely chopped
DIRECTIONS
-Place pizza stone in centre of oven and preheat to 500 degrees for 20 mins.
-To prepare chicken, heat the olive oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 5 to 6 minutes. Do not overcook.
-Remove from heat and place in refrigerator until chilled.
-Add 2 tbsp of Dine Alone Foods Southern Blues Kickin’ Original BBQ sauce to chilled chicken and mix. Return to fridge.
-Spread 1/2 cup of Dine Alone Foods Southern Blues Kickin’ Original BBQ sauce over dough. Layer dough with 1 tbsp Gouda cheese, 3/4 cup mozzarella, 1/2 of the chicken mixture, garlic and onion. Top off with 1/4 cup mozzarella.
-Transfer pizza to oven and bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
-Repeat steps for second pizza with remaining ingredients.
