5th PROJEKT is a psychedelic art-rock band blending elements of ambient rock, grunge, shoegaze and post-rock with ethereal vocals and soundscapes. Their music moves through mythology, shadow and transformation, blurring the line between song and ceremony and creating what many listeners have described as “pictures in the mind’s eye.”

Their newest offering, a five-song EP titled “Live In London,” was recorded live off the floor at the Sugar Shack studio in London, Ontario, and traces an atmospheric arc across the band’s sonic landscape, acting as a ceremonial initiation into their immersive sound. “Live In London” will be released May 13, 2026, on the band’s own Organik Rekords.

5th PROJEKT’s previous releases, “The Wolf” (2023) and “The Labyrinth” (2022), both received strong Canadian college radio support, with “The Wolf” debuting on the !earshot National Top 50 and climbing into the Top 25. “The Wolf” was featured in Obscure Sound, Spill Magazine, V13, Canadian Beats, From the Strait, and other local and international publications. The band has received award nominations from the Ontario IMAs, the Toronto IMAs and the Orange County Music Awards in California. Their captivating live performances have led them to showcase at music festivals such as NXNE, Canadian Music Week, Indie Week, Kaleidoscope and Spirits of the Earth Festival, along with two Canadian tours.

What is your favourite local restaurant?

Dirty Food

What is your favourite street in your city and why?

We like Elm Grove Ave. It’s just off Queen West, perpendicular to the Milky Way. There’s an amazing mural of aliens at an ice cream shop there.

What is your favourite park in your city and why?

High Park. We’re neighbours and the trees there are very warm and friendly. Plus, there’s a Labyrinth!

What is your favourite music venue in your city?

We really enjoyed playing at The Phoenix. Lee’s Palace and The Horseshoe are great as well. We’re also fans of outdoor stages, or even lawns, hills and wooded areas.

What is your favourite music store in your city?

Paul’s Boutique for the awe factor. Long & McQuade for the practical factor.

Raised in Dela Vega City, Spanish Town, Jamaica, he developed a sound rooted in resilience, rhythm, and real-life storytelling. Blending traditional Jamaican energy with modern Latin and international influences, D Howell is carving out a lane that moves seamlessly from Kingston to Toronto and beyond. With bold collaborations and a global vision, he represents the next evolution of reggae fusion — authentic, intentional, and built for the world stage.

Don Denaburg & Friends is a collective of musicians who record and perform the music of Toronto-based songwriter Don Denaburg. With elements of folk, pop, jazz, and Americana, Don’s deeply personal songs explore themes of loss, regret, and the fragile moments when everything falls apart — and how we find a path towards hope.

A Berklee College of Music award-winning songwriter, Don brings a seasoned voice to his music from years of musical collaborations and live performances, including cross-Canada tours as leader and lead singer of The River Street Band.

David Matheson (Moxy Früvous, Ron Sexsmith), Sheila Carabine (Dala) and Jason Fowler (John McDermott) are among the group of rotating vocalists and instrumentalists who bring Don’s songs to life with artistry and heart.

ch4ins4w is the electronic music project of Talal Al-Saymaree, a Mississauga-based multimedia artist and musician working across sound, visual art, and digital worldbuilding.

His work moves through experimental electronic music, IDM, ambient pressure, fractured rhythm, and video game memory. Rather than treating electronic music only as club music or background atmosphere, ch4ins4w uses sound as a way to document emotional states: movement, displacement, exhaustion, memory, and the strange feeling of trying to move forward inside systems that never fully resolve.

His upcoming album and visual project, Nowhere, Fast!, releases June 26, 2026, via BRKE UNTD. The project is built around the feeling of moving inside systems designed to keep you from arrival. Across the album, rhythms break apart, motion loops back on itself, and progress becomes unstable. It reflects the pressure to keep creating and surviving while carrying the weight of Iraqi/Arab diasporic experience in Canada.

The album is paired with a full-length visualizer built using Unreal Engine and Adobe Suite. Its visual world draws from desert space, PS1/PSX-era digital memory, dust, ruins, simulation, and a Silent Hill-like sense of suspension.

Nowhere, Fast! is not protest music in a direct way. It is closer to emotional documentation: an audiovisual record of survival, memory, and unresolved motion.

Rapid Fire Local Questions:

What is your favourite local restaurant?

Alforat Iraqi Street Food. It feels close to home, and I like that it brings Iraqi food into Mississauga in a way that feels casual, familiar, and rooted.

What is your favourite street in your city and why?

Living Arts Drive. I’ve always liked the name. It feels like one of the few street names in Mississauga that directly points toward creativity and culture.

What is your favourite park in your city and why?

Kariya Park. It’s a unique and peaceful spot that reflects the strong relationship between Mississauga and its sister city, Kariya, Japan.

What is your favourite music venue in your city?

Living Arts Centre. It’s one of the few real music venues in Mississauga, and they bring in surprisingly solid performances. It has always felt like one of the city’s main arts spaces.

What is your favourite music store in your city?

Dixie Outlet Mall Flea Market. It’s great for crate digging on a budget, and there’s something special about finding music in a place that feels a little overlooked and local.

Any length of project that I can dig into someone’s sound or story!

Early bird or night owl?

Unfortunately, both! I find I’m the most creative at night, but most clear-headed in the morning.

Road or studio?

I have to say I enjoy performing live more than recording. I love being in the moment, vibing, connecting with audiences, sharing my songs & stories. In the studio – I’m way too much of a perfectionist. I agonize over every note and every mix to get it perfect. I’m always proud of the result, but I think it takes a part of me it doesn’t give back!

Any shows or albums coming up?

New single & release show incoming! Watch my socials for details 🙂
